The Matriarch - Study

This is a study I did in preparation for a few drawings that I did about 2 years ago. They were later in a dual show entitled "Clandestine."

I really have to thank my grandmother for this... she sat for me for hours while I did a bunch of these studies. This one is one of my favorites, though. She just looks so sure of herself. She is such a strong, beautiful 82 year-old woman.
